S 0 On February 9, 1979, the Freshman class sponsored a Sweetheart Dance. One of the main attractions of the eve- ning was the Sweetheart Dance Con- test, which many people entered. Sam Rayburn students from all grade levels attended and were found dancing the night away. Another fun dance was on May 4, 1979, sponsored by the juniors. Many people came to this dance, which was held to raise money for their Senior prom.
