HOSA officers, pictured at right, were elected and given a formal Installation on Oct. 18. H0 A PLACES IN CONTEST HOSA opened the year with installation of officers Ronie Keen, Osvaldo Perez, Sandy Shaw, Dorthea Donahue, Patricia Garcia, Sheri Thurmond, Bar- bara Foster, Peggy Steele, and Paula Haas. Under the leadership of sponsor Mrs. Beverly Burton, the group co- sponsored the annual blood drive. HOSA attended Area Contest where several won awards and Bonnie Ebanks and Brenda Boyles advanced to state. G WORLD Under the direction of sponsor Mr. John Ulrey, CVAE students studied the world of work. The students learned about job interviews, how to get along with employers and fellow employees, and managing money. They also studied consumer responsibilities and practices. ICT Goes to 79. Ulympics ICT opened the year with election of officers limmy Lout, Al Caballero, Keith Banister, lohnie Robinson, Mike Brown, james Zavala, and Tim Paul. Members participated in the Pasadena VICA Silly Olympics at the Skill Center in December and were presented a trophy for having the highest percentage club participa- tion inthe school's blood drive. The group attended an employer- employee luncheon at Buster's Bar- becue in February. In March, they at- tended Area X VICA Contest at San Jacinto College where Al Caballero won a second place award. Eddie Vandenberg and Greg Porter won first place awards at Area to advance to State where they won first and second, respectively. ICT was spon- sored by Mr. Tom Whitney, FN' -I 305
