OEA members concentrate on their assignments. F Ci'- Marian Scott perfects her VOE typing skills, ...Bl Wake up and get to work! says Teresa Lackey. xhg, ' OEA MEMBERS PLAN PAR TIES OEA members kept their calendars full this year with many activities including a Halloween costume party, a Christmas party, and a trip to Blalock Nursing Home. In March the group pre- pared for contest where several mem- bers placed and senior Kim Manahan advanced to State Contest. The group drew secret pals whom they surprised throughout the year with birthday and holiday greetings. On April 7 OEA climaxed the year with an 'unbirthday' party for the crippled children of Shriners Hospital. The group served cake and ice cream and entertained the children with dance routines and a puppet show. OEA finished the year with a swim party. Officers for 1979 in- cluded Kathy Cook, secretaryp Barbara Niblett, vice-presidentg Leigh Koonce, presidentg Laurie Sewell, coop reporterg Teresa Lackey, lab reporterg and Kim Manahan, recording secretary. O0 DE STUDENTS EAR A WARD DE students, under the leadership of sponsor Mrs. Barbara Davis, entered the first place float in the Pasadena Rodeo Parade. In October the group partici- pated in a bowling tournament. DE stu- dents sold spirit flowers for the Pasadena game. The group attended Area Contest Feb. 2-3 where several members received awards and went to State in Fort Worth March 15-18. On April 25, DE co-sponsored Free En- terprise Day.
