Under the direction of art teachers Mrs. Joyce Fogo and Mr. Kenneth Clark, art stu- dents completed many various projects including works in pencil, pen and ink, water color, acrylic, collage, and pastel and charcoal. Art students also created three-D projects of pottery and plaster sculptures. At the Annual Scholastic Art Contest, Art lV students Alison Martin -V id Darrell Picha were awarded certifi- - ates of recognition for their work. ratricia Coffelt received first and third place awards in the Gulf Coast Art League in March. Ranell Fowler tv-Ceived fourth place and Kenny offelt was awarded Honorable Men- tion. Each Art IV student exhibited his or her art in the art showcase as an in- dividual showing during the year. Senior Bobby More works patiently to perfect his piece of pottery on the potter's wheel in class Kayla lohnson works on her ink design which was one of many projects completed by art students. ' BO WLING CL UB STRIKES A GAIN The bowling club bowled every Wednesday afternoon at Fairlanes under the direction of sponsor Mr, Dennis Tiechelman. At the beginning of the year the group elected as its officers Mark Scott, president, Terri Mitchell, secretary, and Liz Taute and Lorrie Price, co-treasurers. Under the leadership of sponsor Mr. McNeill, the members of YFC met every Wednesday morning to share prayer and song. The students were addressed by many guest speakers throughout the year. YFC officers were: Chuck Pitts, president, Dwayne Arnold, vice-president, Kendra Deiss, song leader, and Laurie Hatfield, publicity chairman. 0 , U, . t. ig!
