COSMETOLOGY GETS IN STYLE Cosmetology classes are held at Pasadena High School and are two class periods long. Every month they participated in Monopoly hair-a- thons to help raise money. They also sold candy, cake, candles, wrapping paper and ribbon which added up to 5678.80 profit. Cosmetology is classified under Vocational In- dustrial Clubs of America and enter in PISD district and state contests. In the rodeo parade they won second place for the float they entered. The 1978-79 officers from Rayburn in- cluded: Donna Brammer, vice-presi- dentp Sherri Lee Dittrick, reporterg and their sponsor was Faye Sharp. GAMMA KEEPS THINGS G OIN ' This year, the senior girls had a busy time. They supported the Texans through many skits at pep-rallies and won many spirit awards, For the Pasadena game they helped collect money for the spirit balloons and got runner-up for the hall decorating con- test. Other activities were helping needy families at Thanksgiving and Christmas time and helping support Muscular Distrophy by walking in the Walk-a-thon. The 1978-79 officers were: BACK ROW: Susan Ellison, treasurer, Darla Britt, spirit leader, Becky Cobb, parliamentarian, jenny Blank, 2nd vice- president. MIDDLE ROW: Sharon Wood, lst vice-president. FRONT ROW: Kelly Colgin, corresponding sec- retary, Donna Metting, recording secre- tary, Patricia Coffelt, historian, Pam Dunbar, president, Cindy Heep, re- porter, Susie Parrott, Chaplain. INTERACT LENDS A HAND The interact Club, sponsored by Mr. Larry Rucker, is a service club set up to help needy families at Christmas time. During the first week of December, they sold two different types of T-shirts to raise more money. With this money they bought fresh bakery and produce goods. On December 20, members delivered boxes of food to the homes of thirty- one needy families.
