FAR ER HOLD COUNTRYFAIR The Agriculture Department is the home of Sam Rayburn's FFA Club, the Future Farmers of America, They started the year off with the annual Town and Country Fair in October. They shared this project with FHA. Robert lones was elected president and close at hand was Greg Borskie as vice-president. Other officers included: Alison Haywood, secretary, Scott Atwood, treasurer, Robert Holman, reporter, Mitch Lambert, sentinel, Eddie Rodri- quez, chaplain. These members led the club in contests to win many awards. The Sweetheart Pageant was held in lanuary where Mary Cream was crowned. Missy Lake and Cindi Ditta serve at the Tea. . X,-,fi The FHA beaus this year were: lohn Heintschel, ir., Tommy McClintock, jr., leff Carroll, ir., Kirk Freytag, sr., and lohn Kirkwood, sr. Diana Ditta snarls at the joke she didn't get. FHA STITCHES IT TOGETHER The Future Homemakers of America had a very busy year with important meetings every month. The Round-up Tea, September 21, is held annually to encourage students to join and show them what FHA is all about. In October, they shared the Town and Country Fair with FFA and set up various booths. Parent-date nite, set in November, had a 50's theme and dress with a sock-hop dance contest. On December 15, the Christmas Tea was held in the living room where administration and faculty were invited to taste homemade snacks. As the new year began, a speaker visited and demonstrated the art of candy making. Sweetie Pie Nite, in February, announced sweethearts: Marcy Murphy and Mark Henneck, and the dessert contest was won by Connie Schroeder. A St. Patrick's Day Party was held in March, and in April, new of- ficers were installed at the Mother's Tea. Officers this year included: BACK ROW: Missy Lake, 4th vice-pres., Susan O'Neal, pianist, Robin Ganderson, sec- retary, Sharon Wood, lst vice-pres., Ca- thy Cirani, parliamentarian. MIDDLE ROW: Robin Stone, songleader, Leslie Lawhorn, treasurer, Connie Hamon, 6th vice-pres, FRONT ROW: Cindi Ditta, pres., Ruth Welch, chaplain, Diane Dit- ta, 3rd vice-president.
