Members of the Creative Writing Club and Miss lanet Trumble, the club sponsor, work diligently to plan the long awaited 1979 issue of the SPECTRUM. Cpwijfuwld-. J , lr l f M ' 'Hs I swallowed my pen! exclaims Miss Trumble. CL UB CREA TES 379 SPECTR UM The Creative Writing Club printed the SPECTRUM once again this year as it has done for many years in the past. Being the longest continuously published literary magazine in the district, the SPECTRUM included original works of poetry, prose and photography. The writings in the SPECTRUM were collected from stu- dents at Rayburn. Miss janet Trum- ble, the club sponsor, worked to help complete the magazine in time to make the distribution deadline.

During the show each choir performed as a group and also many solos and duets were sung. High- lights of the show included: Missy Lake and Ann Blake-'s imitation of Dolly Par- ton, Vince Hiller and his band and leff Sensat and Bobby Barnett with their original songs. The choirs also enhanced the Christmas season with their music. Outside of their perfor- mances at school, the choirs also per- formed at many local places under the superb direction of Mr. Norris Blevins. 2
