Members of the Creative Writing Club and Miss lanet Trumble, the club sponsor, work diligently to plan the long awaited 1979 issue of the SPECTRUM. Cpwijfuwld-. J , lr l f M ' 'Hs I swallowed my pen! exclaims Miss Trumble. CL UB CREA TES 379 SPECTR UM The Creative Writing Club printed the SPECTRUM once again this year as it has done for many years in the past. Being the longest continuously published literary magazine in the district, the SPECTRUM included original works of poetry, prose and photography. The writings in the SPECTRUM were collected from stu- dents at Rayburn. Miss janet Trum- ble, the club sponsor, worked to help complete the magazine in time to make the distribution deadline.

Elisha Warner and Karen Willrford think that play- ing the French Horn is sexy. BA D, DRILL HARE FIELD The 1978-79 season was a rough one for the band and drill team. Due to con- struction at Rayburn, they were forced to use Park View's football field for practice. At the beginning of the seaso the ants controlled the field. Once ants were removed from control, the coming of winter brought rain. In spite of all the mess, the drill team and band continued practice. Many fine perfor- mances were made by both the band and drill team this past year.
