The band performs at each halftime with feature twirler Trudi Davis. BAND MARCHES ON T 0 VICTOR Y The school year held many successes for the Texan Band. The band marched at every football game during the season. In November the band went to UIL marching contest and received a I from all three judges. This was great ex- citement for the band directors, Ioe Cullum and lohn Rucker, The band also changed marching style this past year. The new style is called corps style. ln February, the highest number of individuals ever recorded in the history of the band attended All-State musical festivities in Ft. Worth. They are: Forrest Owen, Fr. Horn, Chris Sicard, third time All-State Fr. Horn, Tommy Sicard, Fr. Horn, and Bobby Simpson, trumpet. The annual Band Banquet was held at Sylvan Beach on january 261979.
