Following a rainy high-scoring start at the Westchester fSpring Branchl Tournament, the Texan golfers im- proved in each successive outing. Their 6th 13251 place finish out of 24 teams at the Deer Park tournament was their best showing ofthe year. Led by Seniors Kenny Mire 12 yr. lettermanlg Craig Far- ris QZ yr. lettermanlg David Harris Q2 yr. lettermang and Freshman Greg Glover tlettermanj and jason Nutt flettermanl, Rayburn finished 6th in the district 23AAAA golf tournament at Sun Meadows Golf Club. Coach Baker also lettered Kerry Keyser Ur.J and Scott TenNapel fSoph.J for their contribu- tions to the team and their play. The Rayburn I. V. won the P. I. S. D. City Championship and Greg Glover led the Texan Freshmen to a 3rd place tro- phy in the Deer Park Freshman Tourna- ment. Coach Baker predicts better days in the near future for Sam Rayburn golfers.
