GIRL WIMMER WI 3, LOSE 3 The 1978-79 girls swim team worked hard throughout the fall trimester of school and began their meets in December. Coached by Mrs. leannie Weir, the team obtained a won-lost record of 3-3 for the season. Co-captains for the team were Colleen Coman and Perl Smith. Members who qualified for regionals, in a tough district meet were Renee Hartley, Rebecca Speer, Mary B. Com- an, jennifer Ulrich, and Colleen Com- an. ln district, the team placed fourth and in regionals, fifth. Other members of the team were: Annette Brashier, Angela Diviney, ludith Speer, Roxy Wilkes, Mary Ruth, Nancy McPearson, Susan Farkas, Anita Franz, Mary Metelko, Tammy Wilkinson and Linda Dyer. lunior Renee Hartley holds her breath for a good imitation of the team mascot, a frog. 2

BOY S WIMMER BREAK E VE The Boys Swim Team ended their season with an even five wins and five losses. Team Captain was Mark Gates with leffClark and Kevin Thames as Co- captains. Qualifying for Regionals were David Paulos, Roger Ramon, jeff Clark, Bobby Barnett, Mark Gates and Byron Milczewski. Other members of the team were: Kevin Beasley, Mike Brice, Kevin Brown, Adam Coffelt, Mike Cox, Steve Hamrick, Garlan and Harlan Healer, Byron Hill, Andy Iones, Bruce lones, Bobby Keen, lay McCulley, Ken Moore, lim Taute, Eddie Vandeberg, Mark Whiteford, Daryl Brown, Clay Tolbert, and Truett Woods. Boy swimmers dive out to start off in the PISD dis- trict meet, held at Southmore Pool. 2
