FRU H ECO D I BA KETBALL Robert Landry, ended their season with an 11-3 record in District and 24-5 overall. This is the best overall record that the Freshmen have ever earned. This won them second place in District. The White Team also won second place with an 11-3 district record and 19-6 for the season. Members of the White team are: Lewis johnson, Todd lstre, Mike Ghormley, Pete Pugh, David Roach, lohn Gassner, Kyle McCoy, Scott Richardson, Glen McClanahan and james Orsak. Starters for the IV are as pictured: Meriwether, Mc- Coy, Adams, Heintschel, Lane. Sophomore, Carl Lenz and lunior, Kirk Lane show their talents on the court at a IV basketball game. JU IOR VAR ITY TAKE FOURTH The junior Varsity Basketball Team ended their season with a record of 19-14. This record secured fourth place in the district. The team attended tour- naments at Pasadena and La Marque and placed consolation in both. In the Spring Tournament, the junior Varsity placed fourth. High scorers for the team were john Heintschel and Kirk Lane. The junior Varsity was coached by jB Carter. Members of the team were: Heintschel, Lane, Adams, Scroggins, Lenz, Clark, Guild, Coyle, McKinney, Hill, Skyles, Collins, Scott. luniors Iames Adams and Bruce Helntschel jumps high into the air in an attempt for two points. 212
