Mrs. Hicks wonders if students can read the assignment on the board telling them about their test , 'ri-U R TEA CHER GETS SKIING FEVER Teaching is not Mrs. Kocian's only ac- tivity. During winter she begins to get the snow-skiing fever. Her family has been skiing for about fourteen years. They began skiing when they took their children to see the snow at Christmas in Ruidosa, New Mexico. Her children liked it so well that they started going each Christmas and also at Easter. Dur- ing Easter there was a combination workshop and skiing vacation. The other teachers who attended the workshop were Mrs. Powell, Mr. Roye, Mrs. Sanders, and Mrs. Collins. So far there have been no broken bones or sprains. - ,lui 2- l 1

She started watching the late shows on weekends at the age of ten. Her favorite movies are ones that were made in the 1930's and 19403. During the summer she goes at least once a week to the Alley Film Festival, and she also watches for the Benson and Hedges Film Festival, Her favorite stars are Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, Clark Gable, Katherine Hepburn, and Cary Grant.
