The semester will probably come about in 1980-1981 school year. With the semester system Mr. Lomax says seniors will still be able to gra- duate early and will probably have some special privileges such as early dismissal. ln the semester system there will be six classes and each class will be around fifty- five minutes long. The students will not be able to take as many elective courses. There will be more homework to do and most important, if a student fails a class he will not be able to take the class over as he is able to do in the trimester. Changing to the semester system will allow all School districts throughout the state of Texas to have the same type of schedule. l i Mrs. McKown hopes the tree is becoming to her.
