PROGRESS AT SAM I-IOUSTCDN Sam Houston is like a piece of elastic-it streches and ex- pands and grows into something big, big, big. One-half mil- lion dollars were spent on improvements last year during the greatest building year in Sam Houston's history. lts enroll- ment spread to three thousand, three hundred, fifty-one stu- dents--largest enrollment increase this year in any state-sup- ported institution. Its social clubs have become nationalized, and to provide the finishing touches to beautiful, new buildings each one has been air-conditioned.
