Be- cause most of the D.E. members work in the afternoon, many are not able to take part in the normal extracurricular life of the school, thus they find adequate compensation in an active D.E. Club life. They participate vigorously as a group in projects to improve the club and the individual, in activities to foster fair play and companionship among D.E. students, and in meetings to provide recreational ac- tivities for members. ELECTRO IC CL B The Electronics Club, composed of boys who are ,interested in the operation of the various apparatus in the field of radio communications, has as its main purpose the study of techniques in order to help mem. bers obtain their F.C.C. license to operate radio transmitters. The success of the club lies in the fact that several of the members have acquired their licenses as the result of this study. Membership in the Electronics Club ca- ters not only to those experienced in the operation of radio equipment, but also to those seeking basic knowledge of elec- tronics, and the agenda for the year allows time for a number of field trips to several industries dependent on electronics.
