Merrily tap - - - With the roll of the drums and the blare of the bugles, the Houstonettes began the active year under the leadership of Miss Rosemary Redditt. Some of the activities were a picnic at Sylvan Beach during summer practice and the Mother- Daughter Banquet where the seniors received their sweaters. The girls also participated in the V. F. W. Poppy Sale, in a magazine drive, the publishing of the student directory and the Shrine Ball. The Houstonettes held their annual social event- The Stardust Ball -where the I-Ioustonette Honey was crowned. As a climax for the year they drilled at the Spring football game.
