SIMONS-Coach As the years go by, the students come and go, but all of them have one remembrance. They never forget Doc our l'Doc'l and the only one. The influence of this man changes all who come in contact with him. In his stay here as the football coach, as assistant principal also, his work has been invaluable. From almost nothing to start with, he has made men, football players, and football teams, and each year that he has any material at all on which to work, he is sure to put on the field a team that will de- serve his coaching and the name of the school. HALLA-Tackle-Captain Few people know of the greatness of our Frank. He played in every quarter of the season except one and when one of the op- posing 4'Backs was heard to grunt on be- ing tackled, it was a sure guess that Halla was the tackler. The few times that he did not Figure directly in a play at least two of the opposing players were required to 'K take him out. l' Too, his spirit was unconquerable, and at the darkest moments he could be seen urging his team on.A great leader and a wonderful player was our Captain. ea 5 Q KD

W WD DICKFY-E111z'+Capmin-Elffl VVhen Red enters a game some opposing player is doomed, for if he can't get his man, he soon gets his goat.,' His ability to play any position on the line makes him valuable to any team, har when any certain position is to be maimed well, Red is the man. In 1927, he will be back for the third year, this time as the captain of the team. BUTLE R-Guard When every thing seemed out of place Old Jimmie-:'s toe would set the pace. The poetry may not be so good but the fact remains the same, for when the f'Big Boy of the team was called upon to kick, he did it well. CARLISLE-Hay VVhen ground was needed, Chili was there to carry the ball. Yes, he played on the team, but it was doubtful which was his greatest asset, his ability to play football, or his good looks. He looked good on the field of play, but his form of warming up was such a treat that it was said that as many people watched him as watched the games. CAREY-.Quarter 'fTuH'y,' was Binks lone competitor in size in the backfield, but the opposing players sometimes found him, as happened in the Beaumont game when an unlucky knee sent him into the land of darkness for a while. Carey was the brains of the team, and also the ground gainer. Q at-IQ
