All pep rallies were unique, but they shared that Big Sam enthusi- asm. The cheerleaders and bell- guards led thecheers and sang to the captains. They performed skits which often included the teachers. Even Mr. B. H. Remynse and Mr. Bob Connor made a rare appearance as the Blues Brothers . Duo Wins Spirited . . . and their enthusiasm was above all. Seniors Trey Hillman and Judy Newell were chosen to represent 'Big Sam as Mr. and Miss School Spirit. On Nov. 6 all seniors nomi- nated their candidates for the honor. Tension rose through the next week awaiting the announcement of the couple in the Bowie pep rally. Senior Class president, Trey was also in FHA Chapter Two, Student Congress, FCA, choir, and First Class. He was active in football and baseball. A varsity cheerleader, Judy was named Homecoming Queen and was involved in FCA, Spanish Club, and Student Congress . . . lAj Trey looks over a newspaper article that he wrote. lBl Judy stlrs up spirit at a pep rally. lCJ Trey intently watches as the defense intercepts a pass.
