I IO Years' Work Earns Dedication - ... Mrs. Tommie Williams received the Cherokee dedica- tion at the journalism assembly, May 6. Vice-principal in charge of girls' attendance and discipline, Mrs. Williams came to Sam 10 years ago as a counselor. Concerning Mrs. Williams, staffers Blake Farrell and Pat Sweat said, We have always been known as a friendly school. We owe part of that rep- utation to our recipient. Through her efforts the New- comers Club was founded. She took the slogan, 'ln the halls of Sam Houston, there are no strangers' and made it work for us.
