Drama Presents Award Winning Shadow Box People don't want to let go . . . They think it's supposed to last forever. The Shadow Box, the Drama Department's award-win- ning one-act play, dealt with ter- minal illness and the way it affects those touched by it. Winning at district and area lev- els, the play went to Denton in April for regional competition. James Healy was named best actor at both district and area contests. Terry LeVesque and Linda Phil- lips were members of the all-star cast at district and area, and Terry won regional recognition. Also earning honors for their per- formances were John Bolding and Katherine Penrod. 'I Never Sang' Presented as Double Bill ... but still, when I hear the word 'father', it matters. Senior James Healy became Gene Garri- son, a son struggling to gain his father's love, in I Never Sang For My Father. Terry LeVesque and Chuck Randolph portrayed his parents. Dec. 6-7 were set as the dates for the fall drama production. It was presented as a double-bill of two Tony-Award-winning plays. The Shadow Box, the second show, later went into one-act competition. Fine performances, with high dramatic intensity, spurred audi- ence acceptance of both plays. CAQ Chuck Randolph, portrayed as Tom Garrison, worries about his wife's health. CBQ Terry LeVesque, as Margaret Garrison, lies on her death bed and is cared for by the nurse, Gigi Dull. CCQ James Healy, as Gene Garrison, talks to his mother about his father's health.
