Texans Welcome Mar lean Serving as a scholarship program, the AFS brought Mary Jean Thomas from South Africa. To make Mary Jean feel at home the club gave her welcome and birthday parties. Later in the year she received an AFS jacket. Other activities of the AFS were the annual AFS Day and a pancake eating contest. The club also sold Christmas cards and sponsored the Faculty Follies held on March 22. , To gkcxvf '- ,Q A C QAJ Koichi Shibuy performs folk songs. KBJ AFS members enjoy Mary Jean's welcoming party. CCD Lisa Beberstein i' gives Mary Jean her AFS jacket. Math and Science Club Sponsors Contests Skills, brains, and a bit of luck The club also sponsored their were some factors used by the Math own contests.
