F aoult Birthdays Celebrated Each Month R 1 i a l E E 5 2 l i .5 .1 sf The Student Congress had responsibilities to inform the school of upcoming activities. So that the student could be aware of the activities at school every morning, officers read the daily bulletin. To get everyone involved, the Congress sponsored a paper drive, poster parties, and spirit chain competition. Along with planning Howdy Day and Texan Day, the Student Congress planned a 50's Day. They also honored the teachers by giving them birthday parties each month to celebrate. The Congress held elections such as cheerleaders, Student Congress, class officers and Homecoming Queen. In March, the members attended the state conference held in Dallas. CAD Congress member Les Palmer readily accepts Tina Holcomb and Holly Bea's last dollar for the spirit chain contest. QBJ And the lucky winner is . . . announces Emily.
