Along with two of the best dances of the year, new prospective members of the club were initiated, thanks to the abun- dantly original efforts of veteran lettermen. To become a letterman in good standing, the initiate must pass a frigid test of mind over matter in a whirlpool full of ice cubes and a bathroom full of bananas. A demon- stration of strength must also be demonstrated by the ability to ac- complish an isometric sit-up and to improvise new and different methods by which to transport an olive.
