GIRLS GOLF Girls' Finish Even Season Although rain canceled a few match- es, the Bruin Girls Golf Squad finished their season quite well. They ended their season with an even number of wins to losses. The highlight of the girls season was the 10-0 win against Centennial. In state competition, at Glendover, the team finished tenth place with a total score of 311 strokes. Coaches Sam Kennedy awarded five varsity letters to members Kathy Kennedy, Kim Stamm, Diane Stanley, Mary Ellen Thomas and Rose Thompson. Kathy Kennedy uses precise aiming to chip on the green. Rose Thompson puts power into her swing. GIRLS TENNIS First Year ana' It Was a Good Year This was the first year for Barlorw's new tennis courts and the first time to be represented by an eager girls tennis team. The coach was proud of the girls and their endless efforts to do their best. The team did great even though the majority of its players were beginners. Fortunately, seventeen out of the nine- teen girls will return for an even better season along with some new beginners next year.
