With the addition of a ski team to Barlow's ranks of sports, Q the club jaunts on Saturdays which included numerous spills,E' O' laughs and fun, became good practice for aspiring olympic champions. l. I l i i l l I I K New Facilities! Barlow's audio-visual club was strengthened this year by an increase in membership and the addition of a video-tape unit. With this T.V. equip- ment, the newest in the district, A.V. club members video-taped a Christmas activities lilm which they set to music. They also edited a film of classes to be shown to parents with an interest in their child's classes for the coming year. During the Christmas season, mem- bers sponsored a secret Christmas Sock contest, and awarded a prize. New Group Successful For the first time Bruins could tap ffl S their feet to music as they watched t I-1 twelve vivacious girls go through their 8 routines at halftime. CI The group was formed in early S November, when the girls tried out in front of a teachers' screening com- mittee. Twelve were chosen, and right away went to work. The team practiced two nights a week, and worked out their own rou- tines. They also made their own out- fits. The team danced at every Tuesday and Friday night basketball game. Several students commented that they were glad to have the halftime enter- tainment. l. The dance team goes through their routine at half- time, 2, The great flub-up! 3.
