l 3, Dewey Taylor fires the ball as an opposing batter waits at the plate. 4. Matt Jesson, who was given honorable mention to the all-league team, takes a strong cut at the ball. 5. John Doss, who also received all-league honorable mention, led the team in batting with a .352 batting average. 6. Blair Anderson prepares to swing. 7. Dane Caldwell waits behind the plate for the ball. 8. Coach Dale Stebbins intently watches the action on the field. P 4 ' .-,-'vm' Jim Payne and Larry Jesson were both named to the all-Wilco first team. They were the first Barlow athletes to achieve this honor. Jim UD finished the season with eight wins and an excellent E.R.A. of l.7l. He also led the league in strike-outs. Larry 125 made first team all-League at third base, and carried a season batting average of 3.50. 58
