Teams Lack Members 20 Bruin freshmen and J.V. wrestling restli .W teams had a common problem: their lack of team members. The freshmen team started well with 17 members, however, towards the end of the season the number dwindled to 7. Z The team members who stuck it out .. did an outstanding job. They will go on 'S to be outstanding wrestlers, predicted 2 Coach Fred Holevas. LH The coach named Daryl Broadsword as the season's most outstanding wrestler. The .I.V. team also had few members, but the guys they had worked hard for a good season. J.V. Wrestling Coach, Lynn Winches- ter, looking to next year, said, They should be an asset to next years varsity team. Groskopf, G.Wallenstein, D.Belcher, D.WaIlace, Coach Tony utstanding Year The last few minutes were tense ones, but Barlow came out on top. The mighty Bruins has already beaten Gresham, and now they had squished the Eagles. These two wins made Barlow the district champ. This year was Barlow's best yet in wres- tling. Although the record was I0 wins and 12 losses, many individual wrestlers did out- standingjobs. The subdistrict match saw nine Bruin wrestlers to the district championships, which were held at Mt. Hood Community College. Harvey Meyer placed 3rd there, and Frank Lein took a 4th. The Bruin wrestlers were very proud of their season, and they had good reason to be. Near the end of the season, the wrestlers voted to name several team members to hon- ors.
