r nl X .l.V. Basketball members cluster around Coach Rle Nichols, who presents a graphic demonstration of how the team should bear down on the enemy. J.V.ers are: Larry Stanley, Jerry Nishimura, Norm Shiveley, Arne Kindred, Mark Kost, Phil Henneman, Richard Kennedy, Tim Sommerville, Tom Vorm, Scot Lehmer, Curt Newman, Bill Breshears. Other members are Pat Fitz, Andy Strand. Teams Show Improvement The Barlow J.V. basketball squad looked as though it might really be onto a winning streak in non-league games, but dropped off as league play began and managed a 50'Zv shooting average, and about 50 points per game, most of these gleaned by Andy Strand and Norm Shively. Team ef- fort, as a general thing, was good, and a careful man-to-man defense despite differences in height, showed the Bruin re- fusal to bow to inadequecics. Frosh were all potentially good players, but Coaches Sam Kennedy and Dale Stebbins cited Jeff Galvin ffrosh Aj and Bill Suminski ffrosh BJ as most outstanding. J.V.
