The Bruins, a very young and generally inexperienced team, shocked everyone by chalking up six pre-season wins with no defeats. When league play started, however, the Bruins cooled off, losing their first three games. The fourth game was a- gainst a tough Centennial team, but the Bruins came through for the first of two up- set wins over the Eagles. After two more losses to league leading teams, Barlow won four out of the next live games. Two one point losses to play-off teams The Dalles and Putnam were discouraging, but the Bruins came back to win three out of their last four games. The season ended with a disap- pointing loss to league champ Reynolds.
