Although they became a bit confused at first when asked to yell in class competition, they soon caught on, and won the spiritjug by a wide margin. Several of the many events carried out by the Frosh class included: a dance fea- turing the music of the Bittersweet Jam, the sale of suckers in the cafeteria, scary grams that were sent at Halloween, and a Freshman class party. The party was held in the fall, and upperclassmen and lower classmen provided the music. Wayne Kim, Ron Arellano, Gary Boom, and Dan Taylor werejust a few of the entertainers. Frosh athletes compiled a fine sports record, with the track team notably win- ning the first frosh track meet in Barlow's history. l 1 . .- . ,. f .
