We wondec if our words will fittingly pay tribute to you. We who encounter you day by day; we students sitting before you row by row from nine to five. Your lives are given in the daily round of lectures, notes, books, exam- inations, problems, labs and meetings with each other for our sake. Angelus, McAuley, Ochre, Mercy echo with your words. We traverse the highways and byways of campus with you mindful of your bag of books and your friendly greeting. We are conscious of your en- deavor to put into fifty minutes an organized segment of knowledge. We recognize the effort you make to help us, to unify, to integrate and to realize the continuity of the subject matter. We find on the other side of the desk or in the council room of the adminis- tration interest, solicitude and dedica- tion. We share with you a justifiable pride in the beauty and culture of our college locale. We rejoice with you in the ex- pansion of Salve Regina. We are happy to be with you in this era of its history. Most of all we look upon you as being for us more than beauty of cornice or staircase. We find in you cordiality, understanding and patience. You are the living cornerstones of our college fam- ily. It is from you we experience the encounter with learning, the challenge, the enrichment and the commitment to our ideals.
