' Trologue A building consists of stone upon stone placed with intelligence, with deter- mination, with patience and with enthusiasm. In its formation it demands disciplined work, the courage to meet obstacles, the perseverance to see spar and wall and rafter exactly measured and firmly fixed in place. As we watch Miley Hall extend its height and breadth against a setting sun — a silhouette in progress — we are conscious that in our growth as college students there is also a need for intelligence, determination, patience and enthusiasm. The Regina Maris of 1964 endeavors to illustrate both the one and the other. May you find in these pages the story of each. For it is in both that Salve Regina finds its meaning and its existence.

Dedication We are God ' s building, and in the making, we owe much to those who, under God, have planned, and worked upon and shaped the blueprint of our lives. Little by little, day by day, year by year, the structure of our lives became enriched and endowed with deeper meaning and fresher experiences. The cherished beginnings of childhood, the enthusiastic aspirations of youth and the more serious endeavors of young woman- hood find their cornerstone in you, our parents. From you we have learned the meaning of good example. In you We have witnessed the spirit of generosity, a generosity founded on faith in us and in an abid- ing love for us.
