Homeward Bound Although the Atlantic Ocean had been good to us in August, it was now early December. Old Man Winter had begun to make his presence felt and it was apparent from the start that we were in for a ride. Refuelings became dangerous and were held less frequently: Each day seemed rougher than the last. The rain and pounding slowed our progress and dampened everything but our spirits. Within sight of Bermuda we refueled for the last time from TRAVERSE COUNTY, bid her a grateful good-bye, and set our final course for home. 7, '11 l'JY L.L4.-
