DELBERT KING PHYSICAL EDUCATION We realize that young people must be taught that such qualities as co-operation, fair play, hon- esty, and good sportsmanship must be linked to scholarship and the desire to do one's best. Clean sports, engaged in for the love of rec- reation and the desire to compete individually or as a team, keep our young people mentally alert and physically sound.

if HOME ECONOMICS In Home Economics pupils leam through doing and emphasis is placed on homemaking through courses in cooking, sewing, health, and home management. It has been taken for granted that youth would leamwithout instruction many of the commonplaces of living. Experience and observation have shown that many pupils fail to do well the things they must do every day. Training them to do better the im- portant things they are now doing or going to do is effective education. Our Home Economics groups leam the basic ideals of the every day home and family living which ar m building a stronger world where we can live in peace and happiness.

BUSINESS The business world holds for some, great op- portunities, while for others, bitter disappointments. Preparedness is the essential thing to starting a career on the right foot. In these classes a student finds a direct application in the world of business. DORIS PATTON
