Greetings: After five years here it seems to me that Saluda is rapidly approaching a point where all concerned will have to study and work hard for a solution. lf we wish to survive in these times of progress and expansion a very great effort on the part of all of us must be made in the near future. The last of the so-called small classes leaves our school this year. Saluda has a spirit of its own which cannot be matched elsewhere and this quality, I feel sure will lead to a plan of continued progress. JOHN A, DANGLADE, Principal 'Ihe principal has as his duties, the supervision of the curriculum, student records, transcribing of credits, and keeping the school in close accord. His is the responsibility of the smooth running of the school mechanism. Friend, counselor, peacemaker, expediter, and co-ordinator--who else but Mr. Danglade, our Principal, could be all these things! His kindness, understanding, and sincerity are the qualities we will always cherish in our memories.

MATH Math gives us the design of a greater capacity for living. If each of us learns well this lesson it will open the door to its many secrets. As we leave school and enter a world fullof the unknown we must grasp every particle of knowledge and unite it with what we have learned. If we have learned well, we have a beginning. IRMA BROOKS
