Trying to achieve the look that’s right is what this year’s fashions are all about. The styles ranged from leggins, oversized sweaters, and metallic shoes, to the traditional Levi’s, blue jean jackets, and high tops. Whether it’s fad or fashion, the halls of S.H.S. are one of the best places to find the latest in dress expressions. An attitude of individuality entered our school in the past year. The new fads, fashions, and trends that were brought about in 1987 were a vent for unique personalities. That’s what fashion is all about. What does fashion mean to Saltsburg High School? “Being trendy is too tacky! Originality is the best statement of fashion. Whether it’s with red hair, or no hair at all, try to get your point across,” states Julie Hall. Lisa Soler comments, “I dress preppy because I like to be carefree and unrestrained.” As for next year, we’ll just have to wait and see what new styles develop! ion. SALTSBURG HIGH SALTSBURG HIGH 9
