Supervising Principal Paul R. Runyan Dear Seniors: Have these hallowed halls a prison made? There are few among you, who in your haste to prove your worth to the world and because of your rebellion against parental and adult authority, have not proclaimed the above statement . It is the same thing that caused many a youth to think of his parents as being dumb; later to awaken to the reality of how much they learned in a short time. Your teachers often find the job of working with people in this frame of mind discouraging. But only as they have learned to understand you better than you do yourselves, do they get the courage to go on, realizing that some day they will have helped you to save yourselves from becoming prisoners of life itself. Sincerely, Paul R. Runyan Dear Seniors: During the past twelve years we have endeavored to shape your lives so that you may be better fit to overcome the obstacles which you will meet in the years to come. In many instances our suggestions went unheeded because you felt our judgment did not coincide with your thinking. It is with the best interest of the student in mind, when all judgments and decisions are rendered. May you develop a cooperative attitude in all phases of life, which is essential if you are to be an asset to your community. Sincerely, 6 Principal John R. Coulson John R. Coulson
