6' HVIU1? 6'lA'.5'.5' Pf?0PHf6'l' I, Mr. Dave Morton, like every other red blooded American male, am married. And like every other red blooded American female, the Mrs. is a housewife. And like every other red blooded American couple, we sit down after dinner to enjoy television. And this is when it happened. The most amazing thing I ever did see. I was just sitting there when all the sudden, all these people I used to know from high school were on television. It all started when I was watching Witness, lt's that show, you lu-gw, where you're like a part of the jury. The camera was going around the courtroom showing everyone and everything, and then it showed the stenographer. l'll be dab nabed if it wasn't old Sharon Martin. She was just sitting there fixing her make- up waiting for the proceedings to get under way. Then, if that wasn't enough, the trial began and lo and behold, it was Hancock vs. Wolfe. Old J' ack Hancock and Angie Wolfe. It seems that .T ack was the owner of I don't know how many million acres of land and Angie was his secretary. J ack was accusing Angie of embezzling goods and Angie was saying that he didn't need those hula hoops anyway. 'Ihey went on this way for a while and all the time Old Sharon just scribbled everything on her little pad. Then we had cable trouble and Ihad to change channels. It made me angry untill glanced at the commercial l'd tuned in on. There was Larry Sorden strumming away on his guitar about some spark plug or something. The singing mechanic they call him. Now normally, all these old faces coming back after all the years would be enough to make history, but wait. Then I turned it over Cquite by mistakej to the educational channel. The one that teaches the school courses. The camera was set on a small classroom of pupils and the teacher. Shut up and lisen, you little-oh, Iguess she didn't know she was on the air. Oh, excuse me. My name is Miss Carolyn King and this is History lA. Open your books to page 128. Well, I watched that till it was over, then my wife and ltalked about how amazing it had all been. We talked about ten minutes before I noticed her new hair-do. l said it was nice and she started telling me all about her new hairdresser. And I'll be darned if it didn't turn out to be lee Ann Havely. Old lee Ann was in business for herself now and is flying to the White House every few days to fix the first lady's hair. Then we talked on a bit more about things in general and she finally popped the question Ihad hoped she wouldn't. Dear, lnoticed a big dent in the car. How did that happen? Oh, just an accident. Nothing much. Then there was a knock on the door. 'I'he wife answered it. Then shouted from the front door. Dear, there's a policeman here to see you about the accident. Just then, by luck, the phone rang. I ran to answer it. It was my secretary. She wanted to remind me to see Alfonso Cardenas next morning before work. He's another school buddy of mine. We've been trying to fix up a deal where it would be possible to hold the World's Fair on his property. He was the owner of the 51st state and the tropical island was just the right spot for a world's fair. I said thanks for calling and hung up. Then, I swallowed and made my way to the living room, where all this time the officer had been telling my wife of my accident. - and I assure you, Sergeant Gilkison, it won't happen again ..... Oh, honey, this is Sergeant Gilkison. Sergeant Norman Gilkison, and he wants to ..... JYIVIU6' il 14.519 W!!! I, Alfonso Cardenas, will my strength and height to Dickie Roberts. I, Norman Gilkison, will all my appreciation and thanks to Salome and it's wonderful high school. I, Jack Hancock, will my height to Sonny Poole, my weight to Larry Conley, and my study habits to Clarence Wagner. I, Lee Ann Havely, will my ability to ride horses to leigh Armstrong. I, Carolyn King, will my ability to get excused Tardys to Vickie Martin. l, Sharon Martin, will my luck for car trouble to Martha Canion. I, Dave Morton, being of sound body, will the entire school to it's occupants. I, Angela Wolfe, will my ability to stay awake in class to J ack Glen.
