SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY In the year 1979, I Doris Balliett, much to my surprise, became a proud receiver of a cashier's check for 51,000,000 tax free, sent to me by an unknown donor. After receiving this outstanding gift, I planned to have a reunion for my class of 59 . This was to be held in my 30 room cottage overlooking Grand Canyon. The first guest to arrive was none other than Dan Bauer, who is now after all these years starting his career as an electrical engineer. Dan is doing very well for himself and is enioying his life as one of our most eligible bachelors. Soon after Dan's arrival Jim Cowell came and I found out he was soon to be on his way to the moon, to manage his large estates there. As Jimmy was being shown into the ballroom, I heard the happy voices of chil- dren. I looked up and found to my surprise my dear friend the former Barbara Dyer with her husband, who is vice-president of Standard Oil Corp., and their I2 children, named for each month of the year. Barbara is leading a very successful and happy life. After getting Barbara and her family settled John Rogers arrived. John is now an all-star basketball player. He is happily married, and has four wonderful children. I heard a hearty welcome and there stood none other than the president of our 59 class, Ronnie Tankersley. Ronnie is now a successful business man in Salome. Ronnie is thinking seriously of running for President of the United States, and from what l've heard he has a pretty good chance of winning the election. As we sat around the fireplace talking, the but- ler announced the arrival of Bill Tennison. I was surprised to see that Bill had lost a considerable amount of weight due to the fact that he is still a plebe in the Naval Academy after 20 years. He's still convinced, though, that he can con his way to a rear admiralship soon. Along about that time Bruce Varker arrived. He is now residing in a small Canadian town where he is working as an apprentice muck-ore pusher, in a gold mine. The last of the guests to arrive was good old Sonny Webb. Much to our surprise we found out that Sonny was now the Principal at Salome High School. As all the guests had arrived dinner was served and old acquaintances were renewed. SENIOR CLASS WILL I. Doris Balliett, will my ability to goof up while cheerleading to some poor future cheerleader, also to the freshmen the ability to stick out the four long years of High School. I, Dan Bauer, will to Phillip Ortiz about 2 feet of my height for basketball, and to the band one large, econ- omy size tuba. I, Jimmy Cowell, will my good grades to Dale Lincoln, and my books to Scarborough Rainey. I, Barbara Dyer, will to the incoming Student Body Treasurer my ability to keep the student activity books in a mess. I also will to Helen Cowell my ability to do Mr. Myers' work. I, John Rogers, will to Scarborough Rainey my Zorro outfit and my gold-plated stilts-. I, Ronnie Tankersley, will to Norman Gilkison a token to his athletics achievement, my old tennis shoes. I, Bill Tennison, will my presidential mallet to an all-boy Student Council next year, and my ability to get along with Mr. Charman to Sam Winters. I, Bruce Varker, will all my wasted chewing gum to Jack Hancock. l,Sonny Webb, will Monday Montiio all my height. -10-
