Whiting Wolf Warden Young The class of T959 started the year by electing class officers. Jim Herndon was elected PfeSide lfi Gene Bdvmert, Vice-President, Valerie Eldridge, Treasurer, cmd Linda Peterson, Secretary. Our candidate for Homecoming queen was Denece Whiting. Our float won third place in the parade. In November we put on our class playentitled Girl Shy which was a huge success. We finished off the year with the traditional Junior Prom. The Sophomore class under the guidance of Mr. Biesecker, Miss Otteson and Mr. Harvey Welch began the year with the election of officers. Elected were: Dick Powers, President, Danny Heffner, Vice-President, Pat Smith, Secretary, Karen Bowman, Treasurer, and Ed Waldal, Representative. Junior Varsity cheer- leaders were members of the Sophomore class. Namely: Pat Cannon, Marge Meeks, and Beverly Taylor. Our Homecoming candidate was Gail Dixon. Our skit won third place. Our Harvest Queen candidate was Pat Cannon. The Class was instrumental in starting the town's Teen-age Club with several class members being chosen officers. We also sponsored the annual Sweetheart's Ball . Ffaeslwew The Freshman class elected their class officers for the year with Fred Wachli as President, Dean Nebeker, Vice-President and Dennis Pepper as Secretary Treasurer. Q Our Freshman candidate for Homecoming queen was Dixie Lou Lipe who was chosen queen. Our float was a huge book with the pages open and Success written on them. Our candidate sat at the base. We had a few other minor activities during the year and closed the year with our annual class picnic. 20
