Fall semester brought a collage of events designed to satisfy the diverse needs of our college community. The long lines and haggard faces of Drop Add officially marked the beginning of hard work and hard play in pursuit of an education. The Salisbury State Theatre was on stage with two student productions for those who appreciate the dedication of live performances. Others were treated to the offerings of SSPB ' s film series, the International film series, the Dance film series, and the Snack Bar videos. As well, live musical entertainment could be found through the Peabody Concert Series. While on the other side of campus, students were letting loose at two outdoor concerts featuring Bad Sneakers and Heat during the day. At night, SSPB brought the Coffeehouse to life with professional performers. But the Annual Talent Show allowed students to get up on stage themselves. The dances - who could forget the dances? Freshmen through Seniors partook of the variety of dances organized around campus. Activities sponsored dances in Tawes, while the Gull ' s Nest had a theme dance every Friday night. The Homecoming festivities provided a welcome relief mid¬ semester at the Civic Center. For those who would rather watch other people dance, the College Dance Company performed throughout the semester in a variety of concerts. Inevitably, finals took over our thoughts and actions as we studied until all hours. All we could wonder was - where had the semester gone? There ' s something fo cultural or contemporary 4
