Its council of elected officers and appointed proctors provides leadership in the government of dormitory living. It endeavors to promote harmonious liv¬ ing among the dormitory students. The M.D.A., in conjunction with the W.D.A., sponsors the fall open house, dorm-day football games and at Christ¬ mas time ffie Association distributes toys to the under-privileged children of the Salisbury community. ADVISOR: Miss Stewart The Women’s Dormitory Associations are organized for the expressed pur¬ pose of “promoting harmonious living among the large groups in the dormi¬ tories and furthering the residents’ sense of honor.” Some of their activities include the following: the orientation of the incoming freshmen, an open- house, a variety show, the giving of gifts to needy children at Christmas, and the presentation of teas and coffee hours. SOCIAL COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN: Dick Turner The Social Committee is composed of two members from each class plus a chairman elected by the whole student body. Operating under the auspices of the SGA and with the guidance of the Social Director of the Col¬ lege, the committee plans a balanced program of social activities. It is responsible for all the major campus dances, hootenannies, movies, and various other enter¬ tainment features.
