The Office of the President MRS ROSALIE GRIFFITH SECRETARY TO THE PRESIDENT Mardela Springs, Middletown, and Frederick. In 1932 he became principal at Bruns¬ wick, Md. and he later served as principal at Frederick. From 1942 to 1952 he served the State Board of Education, First as Supervisor of High Schools, and then as Supervisor of Teacher and Higher Education. He became Dean of the College of Educa¬ tion of the University of Maryland in 1952, and served there until 1955 when he came to Salisbury State as President. President Devilbiss now holds the M.A. from the University of Md. the Ed.D. from George Washington University, and the Ped.D. from Western Maryland College. A native of Union Bridge, Md. Dr. Devilbiss attended Western Maryland Col¬ lege, where he received his A.B. in 1925. He taught in Maryland public high schools at 13
