Symbolizing life itself, the Evergreen shall endeavor to unfold one year of life at S.T.C. The staff wishes to keep anew the memories of a year never to be lost. It is with this hope, we present to you the 1956 Evergreen.

VTION As time goes by, we shall cherish the memory of one personality as part of our college life. With a warmth and sincerity, she spoke to us through the art and language of music. Her untiring efforts and ivill- ingness to help were tinged with a knowledge of high ideals. Beyond every cloud of doubt, fear, or disap¬ pointment was a broad smile, radiated with courage to look for the silver lining. With admiration, we, the class, dedicate the 1956 Ever green to Ur. Jessie L. Fleming, a teacher, guide, and friend who will live forever in our hearts.
