rg uf EIETEEN YEARS OF SERVICE ln T945 SALISBURYSOUND lAV-T31 was launched by the Todd Shipbuilding Company, and after sea-trials, outfitting and delivery to the Navy at Long Beach, California, she was added to the roster of naval vessels, a new weapon in the Pacifici Feet. Sally's sallies have taken her on a route of the United States coast from Seward, Alaska, south to her one time home port of San Diego. She has made a total off fourteen U41 deployments prior to this one, traveling to the maior seaports of ther Western Pacific. In Japan, she has been at home in Yokosuka, Kobe, Kure, Saselmo and Iwakuni. She has operated out of Buckner ,Bay and Naha, Okinawa, visited Singapore and Hong Kong of the British Crown Colonies, called at Tsingtao and Shanghai of Red Chinal, she has called at Kaohsiung, Keelung and Takao of Formosa Tfliwdn , operated from Sangley Point and Subic Bay Philippine Islands , and H1050 900 will tours: the first being to Bangkok, Thailand, the most recent being to SaiQ0n, Caroline Islands, and the Pescadores Islands. rin? he' m0nY VOYGQGS, the SALISBURY SOUND and her crew have been OWU 9 0ll9W 9 CC'mP0iQn meddlsz Ch'na Service Medal, Naval Occupation Service 9 lA5lGi, Korean Presidential Citation Badge, Korean Service Medal and United Ndflons Service Medal.
