Your capable, patient, and persevering teach- ers have helped you thus far on your way, They have guided your intellectual growth and aided in the initial preparation for your varied and sundry vocationalchoices, You have been handed the torch of inspiration, May you keep it forever alight! Now that each one of you is about to go your separate way, your thoughts about this happy, united group may indeed become a delightful memory, While looking forward, with great anticipation, to the many days to come, you will treasure those past days as prized possessions always giving praise to those who helped to make your high school training a reality, It is my sincere hope that the future of each graduate will reflect great credit upon his home, his school, and his country, As you approach your great day - commencement, be prepared to face the future with a determination to prove that you can make those moral and social adjustments which will make you worthy citizens in our so- ciety. Drooks MESSAGE TO SENIORS The theme of your yearbook, ‘‘Hands for Service,’’ is an intriguing one, It is very appropriate to the age in which we live, In our everyday hustle and bustle, we are prone to forget our fellow-man and to think only of our own welfare, Service to mankind is one of the noblest objectives to which we can aspire. It is my hope that your experience at Salisbury High School has in some measure contributed to the growth of your “‘Hands for Service’’ and this will be one of your guidelines for living, It is also hoped that growth in this fact of life will continue as you take your place in our complex civilization.
