SENIOR CLASS WILL We, the members of the senior class, of Salisbury-Elk Lick High School, city of Salisbury, county of Somerset, and state of Pennsylvania, in this year of our Lord nineteen-hundred-fifty-seven make this, our last will and testament. Pos- sessing infinite faculties for soundness of mind, body, and spirit, we revoke all former wills, bequests, and devices heretofore made by us. ' We appoint that the following items be carried out immediately upon our retirement from school life. Item I We hereby give and bequeath, to those who have endeavored to give us an educa- tion: To Mr. Benson, shrubbery to landscape the grounds. To Mr. Showalter, red carpet for his office. To Mr. Hilt, more boys in chorus. To Mrs Shultz, a washboard and tub to do the school wash. To Mrs. Roberts, a leather bound volume of nThe Night Before Christmas.n To Mr. Lutz, a band saw that really plays. 1 To Mrs. Dochinez, a skating rink to round out her athletic program. To Mr. Albright, a crash helmet with shatterproof goggles. To Mrs. McChesney, more time and equipment to carry on her work. To Mr. Newman, writing materials for his History classes. To Mr. Kalmanir, a slide whistle for his gym classes. To Mr. Thomas, more senior mathematicians. To Mr. Leach, twelve easy lessons in ballroom dancing. To Mr. Leighty, a subscription to nBuild Your Own H-Bomb In Ten Easy Instal1ments.' To Mr. Monahan, more attentive English classes. To Mrs. McTigue, a nden mother'su special, to consist of an electric golf cart, a showcase for her nShy Guyn football, and another senior homeroom that will appreciate her as much as we did. Item II , To our underclassmen we will the following: To the Junior class, we will our ability to stick together as a class. To the Sophomore class, we leave our nsticks and Stonesn philosophy. To the Freshman class, the perseverence to stick with three more years of school. To the Seventh and Eighth grades, the good times we had planning our school activities. Item III To those who will succeed us we bestow the following: To Kent Miller, Connie Johnson's ability as an artist. To Larry Bodes, Harold Swartzwelder's height. To Althea Hetrick, Nancy Knopsnyder's quietness in classes. To Duane George, Merle Keefer's blue fender skirts. To James Ferrario, Glenda Bodes' attendance record. To Stanley Miller, Bob Durst's way with the ladies. To Marcia Brown, Martha Bender's even temperment. To Darwin Ringler, Roy Durst's bass drum. To Sandra Robinson, Idxie Thomas' place in chorus. To Wanda Critchfield, Gary Miller's mathematical ability. To Mary Kay McClure, Greta Livengood's contagious giggle. To Marla Hoke, Charles Sechler's driving skill. To Susan Deal, Elizabeth Lichliter's violin. To Gary Walker, Lee Opel's ability to get along with his teachers. To Hubert Rose, Connie Critchfield's chair in the first clarinet section. To David Maust, James Walker's Ford roadster. To Virginia Hersh, Mary Louise Hershberger's quietness in classes. To James McKenzie, Bill Knecht's basketball uniform. To Lela Shultz, Kay 0ester's position on the basketball team. To James Green, Eugene Hetrick's shoestring ties. To Patty Shumaker, Jane Lynn's position on the Agenda. To Gerald Kolb, Paul Hutzell's laugh.
