The A Cappella Choir, composed of the finest selected voices in the school, sang a varied repertoire of the best musical compositions at Cabrillo, San Jose, KSBW Easter program. These included musical pieces by old masters such as, Palestrina. Lassus, Goudimel as well as music by Polish masters of polyphonic art by Waclaw, Marcin, Leoplita, Miklaj Comollsa, and others. The choir has continued as one of the musical organizations on the campus under the leadership of Mr. Vahe Aslanian. Another musical organization of note are the Madrigal singers, consisting of six female and five men voices. The Madrigals appeared at Salinas Valley Savings Christmas program, Women's Club, and the Hartnell Elizabethan play. Madrigal, a form of secular composition for two or more voices, practiced originally in North- ern Italy in the 14th century and revised in the 16th and early 17th century. They became popular over the greatest part of Europe. This group is also under the musical direction of Mr. Aslanian. be earning of Song
