fDeolicatioii Since the American Field Service is such a worthwhile program and because it plays a large part in the Salinas High School lite, the El Gabilan staff would like to salute it and to dedicate this book to that program. Because ot the growing interest in the American Field Service Pro- gram and the co-operation ot the student body, Salinas has been able to exchange two students this year. Two of our students were sent to Europe - one to Greece and one to Germany, and the two students in exchange are from the Netherlands and from Austria. To those students who go abroad and also to those who come here, participating in this program is invaluable. The experience is so in- spiring that it develops a lasting understanding ot other peoples ot the world not only in the student who is participating, but also in those with whom he associates.
